Traditional Central Asian exhibition-fair of folk crafts "Silk Road"On 3 - 5 May, 2019 the Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan in cooperation with "Bakhyt" Center for Decorative and Applied Art holds traditional Central Asian exhibition-fair of folk crafts "Silk Road", with craftsmen from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Russia, Mongolia and Georgia will participate.    

The Great Silk Road is a historically established international trade route of the peoples of the East and the West, which played a major role in the development of the economic and cultural ties of peoples. Traders and buyers from different countries of the world hurried to the noisy, colorful Oriental bazaar. Ancient cultural traditions successfully continue to develop today.

The participants will present a huge selection of gift and souvenir products: clothes, jewelry, musical instruments, oriental miniatures, carpets, felt and silk products, textiles and knitwear, embroidery, amulets and leather goods for home, for family.

Within the framework of this event, the International Student Competition "Art Bazar - the Great Silk Road", timed to the article of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Seven Facets of the Great Steppe ”, as well as master classes, lottery drawing with lots from masters of decorative and applied arts will take place.

The exhibition will open on 3 May, 2019 at 12.00

Opening hours of the exhibition: 3-5 May 2019 from 9.00-18.00

Entrance to the exhibition is charged.
