At the National Central Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the exhibition “Archive Exhibition 2023–2026” has opened — a vibrant and inspiring project presenting the works of finalists of one of the most significant competitions for young designers in Kazakhstan and Central Asia, the “Next Designer Award empowered by Visa.”
This is not just an exhibition, but a living artistic chronicle of the emergence of a new generation of designers. From the first bold experiments and the search for their own voice to a confidently developed authorial style and conceptually structured, commercially successful collections that have resonated with a wide audience.
The exhibition presents fashion as a form of art and a means of cultural expression. Here, at the intersection of fashion, contemporary art, and regional identity, the fashion of Central Asia is revealed as an independent, mature, and significant cultural phenomenon.
Form and silhouette, texture and color, the plasticity of fabric and the details — everything acquires meaning and transforms into visual metaphors of time, society, and the inner freedom of the creator.
The project is implemented within the framework of the “Next Designer Award empowered by Visa.” The initiator of the project is Baurzhan Shadibekov, General Director of Visa Fashion Week and the Next Designer Award empowered by Visa.
The exhibition will run until March 18, 2026.
We invite you to become part of this inspiring dialogue about fashion, art, and cultural identity within the space of the museum.
