On March 4, 2026, the National Central Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan hosted the international scientific-practical conference “The Phenomenon of Uzbekali Zhanibekov: History, Culture, and National Consciousness”, dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the statesman and public figure Uzbekali Zhanibekov.
As part of the event, a thematic exhibition titled “A Personality Leaving an Eternal Mark in Culture” was organized, showcasing unique artifacts from the collections of the National Central Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ykylas Museum of Folk Musical Instruments, and the “History of the Steppe Region” Museum of Arkalyk city. The exhibition featured valuable materials presenting the life path, scholarly works, and spiritual heritage of the distinguished figure.
During the conference, scholars and researchers shared their insights and exchanged scientific opinions on Uzbekali Zhanibekov’s historical role in the revival of national culture, as well as in the development of Kazakh ethnography and museum practice.
