On March 14-15, 2025, the Committee of Culture of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the TURKSOY International Organization will organize the International Scientific Forum “III NATIONAL TRADITIONS OF the GREAT STEPPE”, dedicated to the Day of celebration of the national holiday of the Republic of Kazakhstan “NAURYZ MEIRAMY”.
Forum goal: popularization of knowledge on the ethnic history and cultural heritage of the Turkic peoples.
Forum is solving several questions: actualization of the issues of studying the history of ethnogenesis, culture and art of the Turkic-speaking peoples; popularization of historical and cultural values of the Turkic-speaking peoples: scientific study of tangible and intangible heritage; study of forms and methods of preserving and popularizing traditions of the celebration of Nauryz; intensification of cooperation between museums and other cultural and scientific organizations, creation of a single platform for discussing the prospects for the development of traditional and innovative directions in the field of scientific, cultural and educational activities; identification of opportunities for joint comprehensive interdisciplinary research on the study of the common Turkic historical and cultural heritage;
The International Scientific Forum will be held in the following thematic areas:
- History and culture of the Turkic peoples: study and popularization of tangible and intangible heritage;
- Nauryz: modern studies of the history and traditions of the holiday;
- Popularization of the ethnocultural traditions of the Turkic peoples;
- The role and importance of cultural institutions – museums, archives and libraries in the study and popularization of historical and cultural heritage;
- The importance of modern innovative technologies in the museum sector.
The following thematic section “Turkic traditions: ethnocultural features” will be held within the framework of the International Scientific Forum
And panel discussion OPEN SPACE – “Modern trends in the promotion of national culture” with the participation of representatives of the museum community, creative and scientific youth, artists, specialists in education, history, culture, tourism, mass media, etc.
The guests and participants of the forum will be presented
exhibition “THE SQUARE OF MASTERS” of the Union of Artisans of Kazakhstan, which will demonstrate ancient traditions in a modern performance by artisans, ethnodesigners.
The forum will be attended by foreign scientists, historians, and ethnographers from the TURKSOY and Russian countries, as well as employees of scientific organizations of the republic, teachers of educational institutions, representatives of the creative intelligentsia, specialists from museums, archives, libraries, etc.
