On 3 October 2026 at 12 p.m., the National Central Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan will host a cultural event entitled «Qarttaryn qadyrlegen el ardaqty» («A Nation That Honours Its Elders Is Worthy of Respect»), dedicated to the International Day of Older Persons.

Observed on 1 October, the International Day of Older Persons is a special occasion to express gratitude and respect for older people, who are a valued part of our society. It is more than a celebration: it is a day to honour the older generation, their life experience and wisdom. It also encourages young people to embrace the values of respect, kindness and humanity.

The event will bring together labour veterans, pensioners and older people with disabilities from the «Shanyrak» residential care home. The programme will include a concert and the presentation of gifts provided by sponsors.
