28.11.2025 The exhibition «SACRED LAND» by Kali Koralasbayev

The grand opening of the solo exhibition «SACRED LAND» by Kali Koralasbayev, Honored Worker of Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, artist, sculptor, and cartoonist, will take place on 28th of November, 2025, at 4 pm. at the National Central Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The exhibition is timed to coincide with Republic Day (October 25), the 95th anniversary of the Shu district, and the 60th birthday of the artist.

Having dedicated his life to art and the education of the younger generation, Kali Koralasbayev is a prominent figure in the country’s cultural life. For many years, he has been working at the «Centre for Children and Youth» in the Shu district, Zhambyl Region, teaching and mentoring future artists, unlocking their talents and guiding their creative pursuits.

Today, his students are winning republican and international competitions, demonstrating the success of their mentor’s pedagogical work. For a true teacher, the highest reward is raising a worthy successor to their work, and Kali Koralasbayev is fulfilling this mission with honor.

The artist was born on June 20, 1965, in the Shu district. After graduating from the Gogol Almaty Art College, he began his professional career in the field of fine arts. His works stand out for their national originality, depth of meaning, and love for his native land. The master, who has left his unique mark in painting, sculpture, and caricature, is a winner of numerous international and national competitions.

The main objective of the «Sacred Land» exhibition is to advance the development of fine arts in Kazakhstan, to support the revival of national culture and spiritual values, and to present the historical and cultural distinctiveness of the homeland to the public. Through his works, the artist seeks to convey a deep affection for his native land, its spiritual foundations, and national identity by means of artistic expression.

The exhibition showcases more than 100 works by the artist, executed in a variety of techniques. These include sculptures crafted from natural stone and wood, as well as paintings and graphic artworks. Each piece reflects the history and natural landscape of the artist’s homeland, the traditional customs, and the spiritual world of the Kazakh people through the visual arts.

The works of Kali Koralasbayev are held in the collections of the country’s leading cultural institutions: the sculpture «Abyz» (made of natural stone) is stored at the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the sculpture «Mother Earth» is in the A. Kasteyev National Museum of Arts, and the work «The Wind of December – 86» has been added to the collection of the Zhambyl Regional Museum. These artworks serve as clear evidence of the artist’s significant contribution to the spiritual heritage of the country.

The artist has previously held a number of solo exhibitions across the country. These include «Tәuelsizdik – El Tugyry» (Independence – The Pillar of the Nation), «Aq Meken» (White spot area), and «Zhemqorlyq – Zhegiqurt» (Corruption – The Parasite), which took place in Aulie-Ata. These exhibitions received high praise from the public and served as an example of relevant social art.

Kali Koralasbayev is a man who has dedicated his work to his native land and glorified it through art on the international stage. For him, the title «Artist of His Village» is the highest honor, as his native region is a source of spirituality, purity, and sincerity. Through his works, the artist conveys the ideas of humanity, national pride, and spiritual integrity to the viewer.

The exhibition «SACRED LAND» is not only a celebration of the artist’s creative achievements but also a large-scale cultural event that unites art and spiritual values, glorifying the history and sacred places of the native land.
