05.10.2017 Personal exhibition "Soundless music" of an artist, teacher, professor Tokkozha Kozhagulov.

Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan on 5 October 2017 at 16.00 opens a personal exhibition "Soundless music" of an artist, teacher, professor Tokkozha Kozhagulov.

The exhibition is devoted to the 90th anniversary of the Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abai.

Kozhagulov Tokkozha Mukazhanovich graduated from the Art and Graphic Department of the Kazakh Pedagogical Institute named after Abai, specializing in drawing (1984). He began his career at the Zhambul Pedagogical Institute (1984-1987) as a lecturer at the Department of General Technical Disciplines and Labor Training. Since 1987, he worked in the KazNPU after Abai in various positions, at present he is the head of the painting department (since 2008).

T. Kozhagulov is one of the most active artists of modern Kazakhstani art space, who came to the fine arts in the mid-1980s. Kozhagulov began his creative activity of portraits, which is considered one of the most difficult genres in the visual arts. Creating a portrait is a very difficult creative act, influenced by many factors. He tries to discover the versatility of human nature, emphasizes individuality, and shows the spiritual wealth and intellectual life of the individual. Before starting any work, the artist is works on documentary materials, studying archival photographs and transferring his design to canvas. Thus, synthesizing the collected material and the impressions that arose in the process of studying allowed the artist to create a peculiar character of personality. Therefore in every portrait of the master there is a piece of his soul, his personal attitude to man. In his creative gallery there are portraits of the great representatives of the Kazakh people - Abai, Dzhambul, M.Auezov, M.Makataev, and others.

Kozhagulov is known to the general public mainly as a portraitist. Along with portraits, he managed to depict the beauty of nature of Kazakhstan. A series of landscape paintings of the artist is devoted to the depiction of the picturesque places of native Khan-Tengri. In the work of the master an important place is occupied by thematic pictures filled with philosophical meaning. Among them "Loneliness", "Silence", "Cry of the soul. 1937 "and others.  

T. Kozhagulov is a regular participant of regional, republican, all-Union and international exhibitions, a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR, a laureate of the International Dzhambul Prize, laureate of the M. Makatayev Prize. His works are in museums and private collections in Kazakhstan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, the USA, Turkey, Germany, Japan and the Baltic States.

The exhibition presents more than 50 works of the author.

The Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan, being one of the leading cultural and educational institutions of the country, continues to acquaint the Almaty people with the history and modern development of the fine arts of Kazakhstan.

The exhibition will last until 16 October, 2017.

01.03.2017 The exhibition «Халық жүрегіндегі қаламгерлер», dedicated to the anniversaries of eminent writers of Kazakhstan

Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the eve of the World Day of the writer opens the exhibition «Халық жүрегіндегі қаламгерлер», dedicated to the anniversaries of eminent writers of Kazakhstan, who take a worthy place in the history of Kazakh people: the 120th anniversary M.Auezov, the 115th anniversary of G.Musrepov, G.Mustafin, the 110th anniversary of D.Abilev, G.Ormanov, 105th anniversary of A.Sharipov, the 95th anniversary of S. Shaimerdenov and A.Nurshaikhov.

The purpose of the exhibition is to acquaint visitors with the works of Kazakh writers and demonstrate their invaluable contribution to the development of national literature, to note the peculiarity of the spiritual and author’s aesthetic pursuit, which is reflected in their works.

1940-1950s became the heyday of the Kazakh Soviet literature. Literary creativity of writers of Kazakhstan developed in close connection with the cultural and socio-political life of the country. In their works love for the motherland, the spirit of patriotism, respect of traditions, native language, all the hardships of life and historical events were glorified. A huge role in the development of literature played a prominent writer M.Auezov, who finished in the 50s four-volume epic novel "The way of Abai". The achievement of national prose became novels of G.Musrepov - "Awakened Land" (1953), "Soldier of Kazakhstan" (1945), G. Mustafin - "Millionaire" (1948) "Karaganda" (1952), D. Abilev - "Friends - brother-soldier"(1948)," Maira "(1954), G. Ormanov -"Development", A.Sharipov -"Partisan’s daughter "(1961), S.Shaimerdenov -"Inesh" (1953), A.Nurshaikhov -"Love song" (1964), "The years of joy and of love "(1970) and others.

During the years of creative activity many works that have gained popularity, both in the country and abroad, as well as plays which occupied an important place in the repertoire of the leading theaters of the country were created.

At the exhibition more than three hundred items, including personal belongings of writers, books, awards, portraits, busts, posters, sculptures, illustrations for the works will be presented.

For the first time the most comprehensive collection of materials about the life and work of writers: a unique collection of archival documents, personal papers, membership cards, manuscripts in Kazakh language by Arabic script, rare books, photos, notebooks, letters will be displayed.

Today the names of writers assigned to the cultural and scientific institutions, streets, schools and universities of cities and villages of the country. In Almaty opened memorial museum-apartments of writers, as well as monuments and memorial plaques were installed.

The exhibition is located in the 3^rd Hall.

05.04.2017 The photo exhibition "New image and achievements of the Great Silk Road"

On 5 April, 2017, at 16.00 the Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan together with the General Consulate of the People's Republic of China in Almaty will open a photo exhibition "New image and achievements of the Great Silk Road".

The Great Silk Road is one of the most significant achievements in the history of world civilization. Branched networks of caravan roads crossed Europe and Asia from the Mediterranean to China and in the era of antiquity and the Middle Ages served as an important means of trade networks and dialogue between the cultures of the West and the East. The longest section of the silk route passed through the territory of Central Asia and Kazakhstan.

The Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan in partnership with the General Consulate of the People's Republic of China continues to acquaint with the rich history, culture, traditions, customs and art of China through the work of Chinese photographers represented at the new exhibition "The New image of the Great Silk Road".

The exhibition consists of three parts: "New look", "Joint construction and usage" and "To live together, to develop together". At the exhibition more than 70 photographs, reflecting not only the history of the Great Silk Road, but also the successes of Kazakh-Chinese relations in politics, economy, construction, business, education, culture, tourism and sports are presented. In the works of photographers, architectural monuments, rich picturesque natural places and places of interest of China were also reflected.

The exhibition will last till 11^th April.

10.11.2016 The personal exhibition «Қазақ елім – қазынам» of the artist Zhumadilkhan Kerimbek

On 10th November, 2016 at 15.30 in the Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan will open the personal exhibition «Қазақ елім – қазынам» of the artist Zhumadilkhan Kerimbek, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Kerimbek Zhumadilkhan Sarybayuly was born in 1959 in the Berlik village of Sairam district of South Kazakhstan region. In 1986 he graduated from the Faculty of Agronomy of the Kazakh Agricultural Institute in Almaty, and protected a doctoral status on biology in Turkey (1998). Currently he is working as a teacher at the Kazakh National Agrarian University.

Zhumadilkhan Kerimbek - multi-talented personality. From his youth he was interested in philosophy, studying the works of ancient Chinese and Western philosophers: Nietzsche, Kant, Jung, Lao Tzu, Confucius and others. Constantly thinking about the meaning of life, human’s destiny, his place in the universe. The artist believes that the study of the philosophy of life, the philosophy of the world is helping him in work.

Today Zh. Kerimbek - scientist, teacher, writer, poet and tried himself in many genres of art, continues to draw and so interested in doing this, it is now almost does not distinguish between the main job and hobbies. Like many self-taught, Zhumadilkhan loves to experiment with the material, works with acrylics, gouache, ink, oil. His graphic works and the work of the Turkish-cycle executed in black and white which differs by richness, expressiveness and laconic, dramatic and exotic are also of great interest.

The main themes of his work are nostalgia and romanticism and philosophical reflections about Kazakh traditions, man's place in the world. The author creates complex genre scenes, filled with motion and light, embodying the precipitancy, brightness and originality. His activity in art he considers natural as his life. The exhibited works show a perfect example of the so-called artistic research, artistic style, creative style of the artist, which reflects the world of his native village, youthfulness, the modern world. This world of the artist is surprising and unusual, but at the same time closes to a huge number of people. Each piece of the author distinguishes something special, bringing in the artist's work its own flavor - emotional incarnation of what sees the artist and psychic experience of the unique beauty and poetry of each particular manifestation of the life’s nature in which he finds an inexhaustible source of inspiration for one’s art.

As a scientist, Zh. Kerimbek in constant creative search, writes poetry, is the author of a number of journalistic, educational and scientific works. At the exhibition more than 60 paintings will be presented.

The exhibition runs until 24th November, 2016.
