Chinese porcelain, being an important part of the world cultural heritage, is famous for its unique artistic style and excellent production technology. The porcelain art exhibition, held at the Central Museum of Kazakhstan in Almaty, aims to further promote the exchange and cooperation between China and Kazakhstan in the field of culture and art, as well as to strengthen mutual understanding and friendship between the two peoples within the framework of the "One Belt, One Road" initiative.

The exhibition comprehensively demonstrates the art of Chinese porcelain, introduces its history and features of style and production, ornamental patterns, a variety of colors and shapes of vases, vessels, dishes, jugs and bowls. From the simple elegance of white porcelain to the bright shades of underglaze blue and overglaze enamel, the masters have mastered techniques that have been passed down from generation to generation. Visitors will be able to appreciate the masterpieces of the masters of the ancient city of Jingdezhen, known as the "porcelain capital of the world" and feel the deep cultural heritage and artistic charm of Chinese porcelain. Jingdezhen, located in the picturesque southeastern province of Jiangxi, occupies an honorable place in the world of ceramics, is famous for its rich history and cultural heritage, intertwined with the millennial art of porcelain making. Jingdezhen's fame as a porcelain center dates back to the Tang Dynasty (618-907 AD), but it really flourished during the Song Dynasty (960-1279 A.D.), when he became the exclusive supplier of high-quality porcelain to the imperial court. The very name "Jingdezhen" comes from the title of Emperor Zhenzong "Jingde" (1004-1007 AD) of the Song Dynasty, when the city was officially recognized for its unprecedented porcelain production skills.

Visitors from Kazakhstan will have the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the history, craftsmanship and cultural aspects of Jingdezhen Chinese porcelain, as well as to experience the depth of traditional Chinese culture. At the same time, the exhibition will provide an opportunity for the exchange of views and experiences between artists, ceramicists and scientists from both countries, contributing to the deepening of cooperation and development in the field of culture and art.

The exhibition will last until August 14, 2024.

Exhibition opening hours: all days, from 9.00 to 18.00.
