Any art is an indicator of the culture of society, so painting is of great interest among the public. Art changes people, opens for them many opportunities for personal growth. At the exhibition paintings of two different authors’ stylists - Kozhamkulov Zulkhainar and Muratbayev Abduakhat, who have in their work their own understanding and vision of this world and convey on canvas the peculiarities of national culture and history.

Zulkhainar Kozhamkulov is an artist, sculptor, teacher, philosopher, member of the Union of Artists of the USSR, Honored Artist of the International Association “Art of the World” NICOR, and Honored Artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan - one of the most active artists of the modern Kazakhstani artistic space. His work has a deep philosophical meaning. The artist is concerned with the eternal theme of love, love for his country; he is fluent in techniques aimed at uncovering subtle psychological nuances, the depth of a person’s spiritual life. The exposition presents portraits of prominent people of Kazakhstan – Dinmukhammed Kunayev, Nursultan Nazarbayev, Bauyrzhan Momyshuly, Olzhas Suleymenov, as well as Kazakh music and cinema stars Shaken Aimanov, Shamshi Kaldayakov, Bibigul Tolegenova, Roza Rymbaeva, Batyrkhan Shukenov and others. The artist depicted his characters in sharp lines, bright contrasting colors. “These are our heroes of the twentieth century - the century in which we grewn up. I chose those whom I know well. Not personally, but somehow, they mean a lot to me” explains artist Zulkhainar Kozhamkulov.

Abduakhat Muratbaev is a painter, graphic artist, member of the Union of Artists of Kazakhstan, Honored Worker of Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, participant of republican, foreign and regional exhibitions. In 1981 he graduated from the Shymkent Art School and in 2004 the Kyrgyz Pedagogical University in Bishkek. At the exhibition the bright paintings of the author will be presented. In his works, Kazakh national images harmoniously merge with the flow of modernism. Every detail of the picture is important and has its own meaning. Abduakhat believes that “true values are what surround us, and we should carefully treat to each other, nature, then it will reciprocate us ...”.

Compositionally, the exhibition consists of two parts: paintings and sculptural art objects. Particularly attractive are decorative metal compositions located at the entrance of the museum.

The contrast of bright optimism in the paintings of Muratbayev and the philosophical reverie of Kozhamkulov's works reveal the many-sidedness of modern art in Kazakhstan, which is especially interesting for the modern viewer. The exhibition presents 80 works.

On 19 September, 2018 at 16. 00 Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the support of the branch 798 Gallery, Ouli TianShan Art Museum opens a personal exhibition "Faces of Central Asia" of a young Almaty artist Guzel Zakirova.

afisha-guzel2018Guzel Zakirova is graduated the art and graphic faculty of the Kazakh Pedagogical Institute named after Abai, specializing in painting, master of painting, and also graduated from the Xinjiang Art Institute (China). She started her career in Almaty architecture and Construction College as a teacher of art history.

The exhibition "Faces of Central Asia" is a graphic series of portraits of people belonging to different ethnic groups of Central Asia and Kazakhstan, through the images of which the cultural and spiritual wealth of the Central Asian peoples is demonstrated.

Artistic basis of the exhibition is a graphic and partly watercolor portrait image, created by two contrasting colors: black and white. The author sees the seminal nucleus of his works in the need to capture the amazing ethnic and cultural diversity of the Central Asian region, which is the "Heart of Asia".
"Faces of Central Asia" is not just a series of works, but also an original visual diary, created by the artist during her trip to Central Asia. "I really want to show through my work to everyone the unknown side of Asia that has been revealed to me," – Guzel shares his impressions.

The series "Faces of Central Asia" is also the result of the personal project of the author "1001 face of Xinjiang", started in 2016, and presented at the exhibition "Co - Construction of Harmonious Culture" in China. Initially, these were quick sketches of ordinary passers-by, but then, during the journey through Central Asia, an intention to create a unique portrait gallery has appeared.
The main route of the Guzel was the passage along one of the directions of the Great Silk Road, namely: Almaty-Kashgar-Bishkek-Namangan.

Wild mountain steeps, cultivated fields, oriental bazaars, huge shopping malls shrouded in glass and beehive hives of small shops on narrow streets, congestions of cars and buses are just a small part of what we see. True Asia is shown by Guzel Zakirova in the images of representatives of different nationalities of Central Asia, who convey not only anthropological characteristics, but also history, cultural traditions and national color. Most often these are images of older people, whose faces are represented as a living story.

G. Zakirova's works were previously presented at international exhibitions in Russia (Moscow), Turkey (Istanbul), China (Urumqi), etc. Guzel is a member of the Union of Young Artists of Moscow (Russia), laureate of the prize of Uighur maecenas of art "Ilkham".

The exhibition presents about 80 works of the artist.

At the opening of the exhibition will be performed the ensemble: "DOLAN" and the band "Deleon_Band". Information support – the Internet portal «Doppa Life».

The first 100 visitors will take a souvenir as a gift from the author.

26.04.2018 The exhibition "The Army of Anders - The Way of Hope"

On 26 April, 2018 at 16:00 in the Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Almaty within the framework of the Polish Days organized by the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Almaty on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Restoration of Independence of Poland, the grand opening of the exhibition "The Army of Anders - The Way of Hope" will take place.

The Army of Anders - The Way of HopeAt the exhibition the genesis of the Anders Army, starting with the representation of the fate of the Poles, who after the signing of the Ribbentrop-Molotov Pact and the outbreak of the Second World War in September 1939 were turned out within the borders of the USSR. Hundreds of thousands of them were deported to camps in Siberia, the Far East and Kazakhstan. In 1940 tens of thousands including in Katyn were killed.

In 1941after the German attack on the USSR in London, on 30 July, 1941 the Sikorsky-Maisky Pact was signed, thanks to which the Polish Army was to be formed on the territory of the USSR. The Army must to be headed by the prisoned to that time in the NKVD in Moscow, the Polish general Vladislav Anders.

In the Army of Anders, from the depths of the USSR thousands of exiled Poles - soldiers and civilians were arrived. Many of them died from exhaustion on their way to the army, others died already during the movement of the army in Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan), also in Persia (Iran) and the Middle East (Iraq, Palestine).

Thanks to the Ander’s Army to thousands of Poles were given the opportunity to fight for freedom of Poland. Unfortunately, despite the huge sacrifices they were not allowed to return to their homeland, which after the end of the Second World War was in the zone of influence of the USSR.

The exhibition is supplemented by the exposition "Deported". The Poles became one of the first peoples deported by the Soviet government to Kazakhstan. Photos of the Pole who found themselves in Kazakhstan as a result of mass deportations, as well as various household items make it possible to trace the living history of tragic events that are preserved today not only in the documents of the past, but also in the memory of the last living witnesses.

To visitors will be given an opportunity for the first time in Almaty, and for the second time in Kazakhstan (after the presentation of the exhibition at the Museum Memorial Complex of Victims of Political Repressions and Totalitarianism "ALZHIR") to learn little-known pages of the history of the Polish people during the Second World War.
