25.05.2017 The personal exhibition "Places of crime: the first lightning" by the Swedish artist Tuve Krabo

The Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan in cooperation with embassies and consulates of foreign countries systematically conducts various events (festivals, fairs, photo exhibitions, art exhibitions) with the purpose to acquaint visitors with the history, culture and art of various peoples of the world.

On 25th May, 2017 at 15.00 the Museum together with the Embassy of Sweden in Kazakhstan officially opens a personal exhibition "Places of crime: the first lightning" by the Swedish artist Tuve Krabo, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of N.A. Nazarbayev’s decision on the closure of the Semipalatinsk nuclear test site and the establishment of the National Nuclear Center of Kazakhstan in promoting the idea of a world free of nuclear weapons in the framework of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Sweden.

The Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan as the conductor of the state's political program for a nuclear-free world annually organizes a series of events (exhibitions: "Kazakhstan for a Nuclear-Free World", "Memory of Hiroshima and Nagasaki", "Chernobyl - Nuclear Tragedy of the 20th Century", "Antinuclear Movement "Nevada-Semipalatinsk", etc., conferences, seminars, round tables), the themes of which are directly related to the events in the history of mankind: nuclear tests and their consequences in Semipalatinsk and Nevada, atomic bombs in Hiroshima, Nagasaki, man-made disaster in Chernobyl.

27.04.2017 The exhibition «Сахна саңлағы» dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Khadisha Bukeeva and the 95th anniversary of Baigali Dosymzhanov.

On 27 April, 2017 at 15.00 Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with the Central State Archive of the Republic of Kazakhstan opens an exhibition «Сахна саңлағы» dedicated to the 100th anniversary of People's Artist of Kazakhstan and the USSR, Professor Khadisha Bukeeva, as well as the 95th anniversary of an opera singer, the People's Artist of the Kazakh SSR, the USSR State Prize laureate, teacher-professor Baigali Dosymzhanov.

Khadisha BukeevaKhadisha Bukeeva (1917-2011) is a Soviet Kazakh actress of theater and cinema, a legend of Kazakh theatrical art. She was born in 1917 in the village of Kaztalovka of Oral, now the West Kazakhstan region. In 1938 after graduating from the St. Petersburg Institute of Theatrical Art, she joined the Shymkent Regional Dramatic Theater. From the role of Enlik («Enlik-Kebek» of M. Auezov) began her creative career on stage. In 1942, she was invited to Almaty, to the Kazakh Drama Theater (now M.O. Auezov Kazakh State Academic Drama Theater), on the stage of which she played the roles of various characters from the works of great playwrights of the world and national classics, as well as contemporary plays . Top scenic images of Kh. Bukeeva marked with realistic power and stage expressiveness: Karlyga ( «Karakypchak Koblandy»), Aigerim ( «Abai» by M. Auezov), Kunikei («Kozy Korpesh Bayan Sulu» by G. Musrepov), Katarina ( «The Taming of the Shrew»), Emilia («Othello» by William Shakespeare), Queen Margarita («Richard III» by William Shakespeare), Katerina («Storm»), Negina («Talents and admirers»), Kruchinina («Guilty without guilt» by N. Ostrovsky) Mekhmenebanu ( «Farhad-Shyryn» by N. Khikmet) aunt Aisha («Meeting on Koktobe» by Ch.Aitmatov), Sidzu («One poor on the east» by Kaoru), Thanh («Star of Vietnam» by Kuprijanov) and others. Khadisha Bokeev was awarded high awards, USSR State Prize laureate (1952).

Baigali Dosymzhanov (1922-1998) – an opera singer (lyric tenor), People's Artist of the Kazakh SSR (1954) was born in 1922 in Semipalatinsk. His singing talent was distinguished by high culture. Since 1944 B. Dosymzhanov on the stage of the Kazakh Academic Opera and Ballet Theater performed the main and leading parties - Tolegen in "Kyz Zhibek" by E.G. Brusilovsky, Birzhan in "Birzhan-Sara" by M. Tolebaev, Aidar in "Abay" by A. Zhubanov and L. Khamidi, etc. He made a significant contribution to the development of the Kazakh national opera.

At the exhibition, personal documents, letters, archival copies of lectures, photographs of Kh. Bukeeva and B. Dosymzhanov from the fund materials of the Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Central State Archive of the Republic of Kazakhstan, portraits of Khadisha Bukeeva in the role of Aigerim in the "Abai" drama (artist A. Galymbaev), and B. Dosymzhanov (artist O. Nurzhumaev), as well as family photos of this creative couple will be presented. Materials from the personal complexes of Kh. Bukeeva and B. Dosymzhanov, provided by M. Auezov Kazakh State Academic Drama Theater - stage costumes, personal items, state awards, etc. are of special interest.

In the opening ceremony of the exhibition veterans, as well as young actors of theater and cinema, teachers and students of the T. Zhurgenov Academy of Arts will take part. The exhibition will be located on the central platform of the 4th hall.

The exhibition will last until 30th June 2017.

THe family art exhibition of Daniyar and Asylgul BaydaralinsOn 15th February, 2017 at 16.00 Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan opens family art exhibition of Daniyar and Asylgul Baydaralins. At the exhibition will be a presentation of the book of D. Baydaralin "Sadakshylyk - the art of manufacturing and shooting of the Kazakh equestrian archery."

Talented artists have been educated in the universities of Kazakhstan. Daniyar graduated from the National College of Art, specializing in sculpture, graphic arts, painting (diploma of "artist-master"), KazNAU named after Zhurgenov in "Arts", KazNITU named after K.Satpayev (diploma of "Architect"); Asylgul - KazGASA in "Architect." Artists for several years worked and studied in the United States, which is also reflected in their work.

The search for original and imaginative compositional solutions is thematically related to the Kazakh national culture and history is the main focus for artists. Works of D. Baydaralin reflect the boundless prospects for the development of the rich cultural heritage of their ancestors and implemention of their own plans. Generally, the paintings are made in color and in black and white. This bright, exciting products - fragments of stories of the heroic past of the Kazakh people, with important semantic meaning, becoming a symbol of life, liberty and happiness. The national character of paintings of folk life, patriotic spirit and courage of the warriors defending their land in the works are well expressed. The main theme of his works - the history of the Kazakh weaponry: a series of "Zhauyngerler" (Warriors), dedicated to the great warriors of the nomadic world; triptych "Koshpendіler" (Nomads) reflects the life of the nomads (movements, meeting of guests, the scene of military actions); series "Kazakh salt-atty sadak atu" (The Kazakh shooting of equestrian archery) is dedicated to the art of Kazakhs "sadakshylyk" - the ability to shoot on the move a horse; series "Kazakh attary" (Kazakh horses) is devoted to the main friend of the nomad - his horse; series "Kazakh salt zhurіsі" (Kazakh riding) illuminates the nomads’ skills - riding; series "Dala zhuzderі" reflects images of nomads - the inhabitants of the Great Steppe: the warriors, wives and mothers, hunters and others.

Works of Asylgul Baydaralina made in the technique of painting and drawing: the theme of femininity and motherhood are traditionally associated with the forces of nature - it is a series of fantastic portraits "Aieldі keіpteu" (The embodiment of a woman), the triptych "Kyz uzatu" (Seeing off of a bride), dedicated to the traditional Kazakh customs and rituals.

Baydaralins proved themselves in the field of literary activity (literature). Thus, the result of Daniyar Baydaralin’s research is the publication of the book "Sadakshylyk - the art of manufacturing and shooting of the Kazakh equestrian archery." This book is the first in-depth specialist work on Kazakh equestrian archery - the main weapon of the nomads of Kazakhstan. The book was published in two languages (Russian and English), translated and illustrated by the author. Asylgul Baydaralina is the author and illustrator of several children’s books as «Біздің Сара-апай», «Сиқырлы балта» (Magic axe) and «Тауық арманы» (A chicken’s dream). The illustrations in the book are made in color and black and white graphics, which reflect the rich inner world and imagination of the author.

Asylgul Baydaralina taught the architectural discipline at the Department of "Architecture and Design" in KazNITU named after Satpayev. Daniyar Baydaralin has experience in large-scale architectural projects as "Mega Park", "Reconstruction of the shopping center Esentai Mall" in Almaty, as well as the "Mega Silk Way» as part of EXPO-2017 in Astana. Today, artists work in "Baydaraly Studio" own creative workshop and engaged in visual arts. Daniyar Baydaralin continuing his research on the study of the Kazakh equestrian archery.

 At the exhibition will be a presentation of the book "Sadakshylyk - the art of manufacturing and shooting of the Kazakh equestrian archery" with a demonstration of horse bows and traditional art of their use.

This exhibition is the first exhibition of Baydaralins in Kazakhstan. In 2003-2011 artists held exhibitions in the United States, where they are introduced Americans with the history and culture of Kazakhstan.

At the exhibition more than 80 works of authors, including the work of their children Kunkei and Taimas Baydaraly will be presented.

 The exhibition will last until 28th February, 2017.

31.03.2017 The exhibition of the works of the finalists of the International Children's Creativity Festival "Mitsubishi Asian Children's Enikki Festa"

On 31st March, 2017 at 11.00 Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan together with the Kazakhstan National Federation of UNESCO Clubs open an exhibition of the works of the finalists of the International Children's Creativity Festival "Mitsubishi Asian Children's Enikki Festa" in the framework of celebrating the 25th anniversary of the National Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan for UNESCO and ISESCO and the 70th anniversary of the creation of Club movement of UNESCO.

Festival "Mitsubishi Asian Children's Enikki Festa" The project organized by the Japan National Federation of UNESCO Associations in conjunction with the Asia-Pacific Federation of UNESCO Clubs and Associations, with the support of the Public Relations Committee of Mitsubishi Corporation which has been implemented since 1990, promoting UNESCO's programs in the field of culture and education, and the preservation of intercultural understanding through children's creativity.

Since 2008, the Republic of Kazakhstan is a member state of the project "Mitsubishi Asian Children's Enikki Festa". In Kazakhstan, the competition is held by the National Federation of UNESCO Clubs with the support of the National Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan for UNESCO and ISESCO and the UNESCO Cluster Office in Almaty.

About 700,000 children from 24 countries of the Asia-Pacific region submitted to the contest fascinating essays on the 5 happiest days of their lives during the years of this Festival.

In order to promote intercultural dialogue through familiarity of guests and residents of the southern capital with the life of peoples and the culture of Asian countries, on the eve of the launch of the new cycle of the project "Mitsubishi Asian Children's Enikki Festa 2017-2018". The paintings of the winners of 2015-2016 years will be displayed at the Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan from such countries as Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei-Darussalam, Vietnam, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Singapore, Thailand, Chinese Taipei, Timor-Leste, the Philippines, Sri Lanka and Japan. The work of eight Kazakhstani finalists of contest will be presented.

On 26th January, 2017 at 16.00 Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan opens the exhibition "The history of Kazakh sport" in the framework of the XXVIII World Winter Universiade in Almaty.

The exhibition "The history of sport of Kazakhstan"Kazakhstan has made significant achievements in sport, which added our country significance and recognition in the world of sports. An example of this is the holding of the XXVIII World Winter Universiade.

The purpose of the exhibition is to show the history of sport in Kazakhstan, including the traditional ones on the basis of the museum collection.

 In the Soviet period the Kazakhstani sportsmen, such as Guzman Kosanov, Yevgeny Yarovenko, Alzhan Zharmukhamedov, Nelli Kim, Zhaksylyk Ushkempirov, Shamil Serikov, Anatoli Khrapatyi and others have repeatedly won high Olympic awards and are the pride of Kazakhstani sport.

During the years of independence Kazakhstani sportsmen have made a significant contribution to the development of both national and international sport, they took part in twelve Olympic Games and won 20 gold, 25 silver and 31 bronze medals. The names of the athletes as Yuri Melnichenko Alexander Parygin, Vassiliy Zhirov, Bekzat Sattarkhanov, Yermakhan Ibraimov, Olga Shishigina, Bakhtiyar Artaev, Bakhyt Sarsekbaev were forever inscribed in the Kazakhstan's history. Our famous skier Vladimir Smirnov, and biathlete, participant of the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver, three-time champion of Europe Elena Khrustalyova were participants of the winter sport.

Currently, the popularization of Kazakhstan's achievements in sports is becoming a major trend in the development of sports in the republic, the international Olympic movement in the country that promotes a healthy way of life of the nation.

The exhibition "The history of Kazakh sport (from the Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan collection") consists of two sections, each of which is presented in chronological order and is accompanied by documentary photo materials and exhibits.

The event by young athletes and veterans of sport, as well as representatives of the Kazakh Academy of Sports and Tourism will be attended.
