21.12.2016 The exhibition of the republican children's contest "70 years for each child", dedicated to the 70th anniversary of UNICEF.

Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan jointly with the United Nations Children's Fund and the Kazakhstan National Federation of UNESCO Clubs, with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan on 21st December, 2016 at 15.00 opens an exhibition of the republican children's contest "70 years for each child", dedicated to the 70th anniversary of UNICEF.

For the Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan has become a tradition within the framework of cultural and educational activities along with exhibitions of professional artists to carry out the exhibition of children's creativity.  

The main purpose of the contest is to promote the main ideals and principles of the UNICEF in the area of children's rights, as well as encourage the development of children's creativity through a variety of artistic expressions of youth.

At the exhibition 70 works of art of children-winners from different parts of our country, who participated in the contest "70 years for each child" will be presented.

During the event the winners of the contest, whose work has been recognized the best among more than 500 participants will be awarded in four categories: "Rights of the child", "Kazakhstan is Friendly to Child", "UNICEF for world for children" and "Best video clip".

At the event will be a presentation of the album "Children of Kazakhstan - Children of the World", dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the 70th anniversary of UNICEF.

The exhibition runs until 27th December, 2016.

13.12.2016 The exhibition "Celebration of Hungarian Science"

On 13th December, 2016 at 15.00 Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan jointly with the Consulate General of Hungary in Almaty opens the exhibition "Celebration of Hungarian Science" dedicated to the 225th anniversary of foundation of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.

The exhibition "Celebration of Hungarian Science" Count István Széchenyi (1791-1860) is the largest figure in Hungarian history - the politician-reformer, scholar and writer, who made a significant contribution to the development of modern Hungary. In 1827, Széchenyi is organized «Nemzeti Kaszinó» the club of patriotic Hungarian nobility, which played an important role in Hungary's political reforms. Szechenyi is the author of a number of political works addressed to the Hungarian nobility as Hitel («Credit», 1830), Világ («World» 1831), Stádium («Stage», 1833). His theoretical works have played a huge role in the economic and social modernization of Hungary.

In 1830 István Széchenyi established the Hungarian Scientific Society, which later was renamed as the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. Academy pays great attention to the development of the Hungarian language and has published the orthographic guide (1832), a descriptive grammar (1846) dictionary (1862) and others. Definition of common rules of spelling and grammar was the first significant result of the work of the Academy. In addition to the scientific advances, István Széchenyi as a founder of the joint stock company, has been actively involved in the development of navigation on the Danube and in the launching of shipbuilding, initiates the construction of the first permanent bridge across the Danube in Budapest, as well as playing a key role in solving of the legal, financial and technical tasks of construction.

After the bourgeois revolution of 1848 in the first Hungarian parliamentary government Széchenyi holds the position of Minister of Transport and Public Works.

In 1850s Széchenyi engaged in journalism, wrote a number of literary works as: Önismeret (Self-discovery) on children and issues of pedagogy and Ein Blick ("Sight") about the political problems of Hungary, criticizing the government of the empire, which suppressed the revolution and the national liberation movement.

István Széchenyi remains in the memory of the Hungarian people as not only an outstanding scientist, a politician, but also a traveler. His works are highly appreciated by leading researchers and specialists from all over the world, and his name is forever recorded in the list of outstanding Hungarian scientists. Széchenyi traveled to England, has traveled a considerable part of Southern and Western Europe (Czech Republic, Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, etc.). According to Széchenyi England was the most worthy model for development of the state, including the formation of bourgeois society and industrialization. In England he thoroughly studied horse breeding, interested in gas lighting and learned the boating. The experience gained abroad in various fields of science, economics, politics, construction I.Secheni effectively applied to the development of his own country - Hungary.

There are institutions, streets and squares named after István Széchenyi. The highest scientific award is also named after István Széchenyi (State Prize, since 1990 named as the Széchenyi Prize), his memory perpetuated many sculptures and banknotes. In honor of the Széchenyi named the Chain Bridge – the main bridge of Budapest. In 2002, the film about the life of Széchenyi called A Hídember («Man Bridge») is released.

17.11.2016 The exhibition «The bell of the steppe» (Kazakh enlightener Ibrai Altynsarin)

On 17th November, 2016 at 15.00 Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan will host the opening of the exhibition «The bell of the steppe».

In connection with the 175th anniversary of the outstanding Kazakh enlightener Ibrai Altynsarin (1841-1889), as well as to promote his life and creative heritage the Central State Museum of the Republic Kazakhstan jointly with FAO NTSPK «Өрлеу» the Republican Institute of advanced training of scientific-pedagogical and management staff of Kazakhstan education system opens this exhibition.

Ibrai Altynsarin Ibrahim Altynsarin received universal recognition as an educator and a pioneer in the history of social thought, culture and literature, the organizer of schools of a new direction, ethnographer, folklore researcher, poet, novelist and translator of Russian classics.

A worthy place in the exhibition occupy rare exhibits from the CSM RK funds: his pocket watch, manuscripts and publications concerning the life and work of the educator, photographs, letters and materials of his family and students.

 Along with the writings and research of such scholars writers as A.Margulan, G. Kairbekov, A. Sydykov, Sh. Akhmetov who studied the life and work, as well as the rich heritage of the prominent figure, translations from foreign languages and previously unknown publication published in recent years are also presented.

Along with valuable exhibits revealing the contents of the subject, the exhibition significantly enlarged with copies of photos and documents of prominent Kazakh educator-teacher kindly provided by the Central State Archives of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Center for Film-documentary photographs and sound recordings of CSA RK, I.Altynsarin memorial museum of Kostanai region, museum of Arkalyk State Pedagogical Institute named after I.Altynsarin, as well as manuscripts, photographs and other personal items of relative of I.Altynsarin - national writer of Kazakhstan, famous poetess Maryam Khakimzhanova and her students Ahmet Balgimbaev, B.Aktamberlin, Spandiyar Kobeev, Zhamaleddin Beisenov.

Visitors can get acquainted with the exhibits of «Өрлеу» the Republican Institute of advanced training of scientific-pedagogical and management staff of Kazakhstan education system - the bust of the educator, "Mamani" school model, school desk, as well as books and educational publications on creativity of Ibrai Altynsarin proposed by the National state book chamber of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

After the grand opening of the exhibition a seminar «Ұстаздың ұлағаты» of renowned scientists of our country to teachers and schoolchildren, as well as for students of higher educational institutions will be carried out.

30.11.2016 The exhibition "KAZAKHSTAN FOR the NUCLEAR-FREE WORLD"

On November 30, 2016 at 15.00 in the Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan opening of the "KAZAKHSTAN FOR the NUCLEAR-FREE WORLD" exhibition, within the actions to the 25 anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan will take place.

This year celebrated 25 anniversary of closing of the Semipalatinsk nuclear ground which became one of the first steps of Independent Kazakhstan in fight for the nuclear-free world.

The "Kazakhstan for the Nuclear-free World" exhibition consists of three sections:

In the first section "Scales of Nuclear Tests and Their Consequence" will be presented share materials: documents on creation of the first Soviet atomic bomb, card of an arrangement of Semipalatinsk Ground, newspapers, books, posters, objects of material character and etc.

Creation of the Semipalatinsk test nuclear ground it has been caused disagreements between socialist and capitalist camps after the II World war. The Semipalatinsk Ground was created by decision of Council of Ministers of the USSR of August 21, in 1947. For nuclear tests from an economic turn was withdrawn 18500 sq.km of lands. The first nuclear explosion has been made early in the morning on August 29, in 1949. Only forty years later explosions have been stopped. Carrying out explosions and tests of atomic weapons couldn't give affect on human health and on a condition of an ecological situation in the region.

"The anti-nuclear movement "Nevada-Semipalatinsk" will be shown in the second section: documents on closing of the atomic ground in the territory of the republic, about the organization the movement "Nevada-Semipalatinsk", materials of the Soviet-American campaign for the world, and also books, letters, posters, photos, etc.

International anti-nuclear movement “Nevada-Semipalatinsk”, created in 1989, has played a big role in closing of the Semipalatinsk test nuclear ground.

Third section "The President of Kazakhstan N. Nazarbayev — for the Nuclear-free World" it will be presented Decree of the President of KAZSSR of August 29, in 1991 about closing of the Semipalatinsk test nuclear ground. The materials opening a role of the First President of Kazakhstan N. A. Nazarbayev in combination of efforts of the world community in combination of efforts of the world community. And also documents from archive of the President of Kazakhstan from Committee of the international anti-nuclear movement Nevada-Semipalatinsk and books from the Central scientific library "Ғылым Ордасы". (" Gylym Ordasy").

By the decision of the United Nations General Assembly on August 29, announced in the International day of actions against nuclear ground, recognizing merits of Kazakhstan which has voluntarily refused the world's fourth nuclear potential.

28.09.2016 Opens the photo exhibition-competition "Focus - freedom of speech"

Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan in partnership with the International Foundation for Protection of Speech Freedom «Әділ сөз» and International Network for the freedom of expression IFEX, UNESCO Cluster Office in Almaty and the Union of Journalists of Kazakhstan on 28 September, 2016 at 15.00 opens an exhibition-competition of photos "Focus - freedom of speech".

For the first time on 28 September the world marks the International Day for the universal access to information (IDUAI), which established in 2015 according to Declaration of the United Nations and UNESCO Member States and is an integral part of the right to freedom of expression, in 1946 in the adopted UN 59th General Assembly resolution, as well as 19th article of the Universal Declaration of human rights and in 19th article of the International Covenant on civil and political rights.

The aim of the competition is to develop and maintain the documentary genre, the political picture - one of the most fascinating and complex challenges in terms of photojournalism. The authors tell about the serious problems of journalists in obtaining information and dangers of investigative journalism, narrate about other barriers on the way of a free press. At the exhibition more than 80 works of the participants-contestants are presented.

 At the opening of the exhibition the winners by prizes and diplomas will be awarded.
